How to Add Custom Domain to Blogger

Are you use Blogger for your blog?

Most of the newbie bloggers buy a domain and connect to Blogger to start a blog.

But sometimes they get some error at the time when they connect custom domain in blogger.

That’s why I am going to help you on how to add custom domain to blogger. Let’s follow my guidelines to do this.

In the new Blogger interface, many users can’t do this. I have shown step by step guidelines to add a custom domain in Blogger.

If you have purchased a domain name, I think you are going to add the custom domain in Blogger. Follow my guidelines to add a custom domain to your Blogger blog.

1. Go to the Blogger Publishing setting

Sign in to your particular Blogger account and Go to the blog where you want to add the custom domain. Go to the “Settings” option from the left sidebar on the Blogger dashboard.

Scroll down the page, you will find the “Publishing” section where you have to add the domain that you have purchased. Click on the ‘Custom Domain’. You will find a new popup window after clicking.

2. Add a Custom Domain

In the popup box, you should write your domain with www as like as the above picture. Thereafter click on the ‘Save’ button.

When you will click on the button, you will see a red-colored message in the popup box where you will find two CNAME records.

You have to put those two CNAME records in the domain provider to verify the custom domain in blogger.

3. Add CNAME records properly

Add the two CNAME records properly in the appropriate section in the DNS section of your domain.

You will get the Name/Host and Destination/Answer of each CNAME record. You have to put those records.

After adding those CNAME records, back to the blogger setting.

4. Save and Done

In Blogger, click on the “Save” button. You will see that the red-colored message has gone away and your custom domain will be added in the Custom Domain section as you can see in the above picture.

That’s all!

This is a simple and easy way to connect a custom domain to Blogger.
